Party leaders responsible to pass laws to hold govt. elections - Faizer

Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Faizer Musthapha stated that it was within the responsibility of the party leaders contesting in the provincial council elections, to pass the laws required to hold government polls.
Musthapha added that draft bill on the matter has already been presented to the parliament.
He further stated that steps should be taken to pass the bill in Parliament with the consent of the party leaders involved, so that once the bill is passed, the relevant elections will be held.
