The President has ordered the necessary financial incentives, irrigation facilities and other estimates to be provided as soon as possible to those in need. 

 

The Secretary of the Mahaweli Development and the Environment, Anura Dissanayake stated that weekly review meetings will be held in order to discuss and evaluate the problems at hand. 

 

Meanwhile, a decision was made by the President to appoint a Parliamentary Select Committee to discuss the issues related to the Uma Oya Development Project.
