Murder in Weeraketiya: five suspects remanded

The five suspects arrested in connection with the recent murder in Weeraketiya have been placed in remand custody.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office reported that the suspects had been remanded till July 28, after being produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate’s Court today (19).
A 21-year-old male was beaten to death upon returning home from a musical show in the early hours of July 17.
Following investigations conducted into the incident, Weeraketiya Police had arrested five suspects, all of whom were residents of Dikwella.
