Bank robbery in Buttala by two armed men on a motorbike

A co-operative rural bank in Buttala has been robbed by two men on a motorbike.
According to police reports, two individuals wearing ski masks had arrived on a motorcycle carrying firearms, and then proceeded to terrorize the employees, before making off with the stolen goods.
The suspects have reportedly made off with close to Rs. 200,000 in cash, a gold necklace, and two mobile phones.
Buttala Police have launched an investigation into the incident in order to arrest the suspects.
