Wife of officer shot dead in Jaffna to join Police Force

Wife of the deceased Police officer who was part of the Jaffna High Court Judge M. Illanchelian escort, has made a requested the Police Commission to re join the Sri Lanka Police Force.
K.G.P. Kumudani was a former police officer, who had retired from the service five years ago and had decided to join the force once again, due to financial difficulties the family was facing.
Ada Derana reporters revealed that the National Police commission has granted her request, and Kumuduni will be joining the Police Force in the future.
Kumuduni’s now deceased husband was shot dead in Nallur Jaffna while accompanying the High Court Judge on his daily proceedings, on July 22.
