One lane of the Tangalle – Matara main road to be closed

A statement has been issued by the Police that one lane of the Tangalle – Matara main road is scheduled to be closed from 6.00pm to 10.00pm on August 06th and August 07th due to the annual perahera of the Dewundara Vishnu Devalaya.  

 

The perahera which is scheduled to be held on two days will occupy one lane of the Tangalle – Matara main road for the entire duration of the ceremony. (August, 6th and 7th)  

 

To avoid traffic congestion and hindrances to motorists, the Police have advised all residents of the area to use alternative routes within the specified time period.
