Lotus Road temporarily closed in light of protest

Residents of Iranamadu have launched a protest demanding ownership of inherited lands.

 

The Ada Derana reporter stated that the demonstration had originated before the Colombo Fort railway station. The group had then attempted to march towards the Presidential Secretariat Office.

 

Owing to this, the region between Fort and Lotus Road has been temporarily closed.

 

The reporter also verified that the protesters have been extended the opportunity to attend a discussion at the Presidential Secretariat Office.
