Railway guards to go on strike today

The Railway Guard Union has issued a statement that Railway guards operating from the Mardana and Fort train stations are to engage in a strike action from 10.00am today. 

 

All travelers are requested to utilize alternate means of transportation until the strike has been concluded.

It has been reported that the strike was concluded within one hour of its inception.

 

The strike action was carried out in protest of the authorities not responding to the guards request to rid their quarters of insects.

 

Reportedly only one train has been delayed due to the strike.
