New LG elections to provide a brighter tomorrow for graduates?

A special proposal has been made to the incumbent local government elections that are to be held, to include 10% of graduates as nominees in the list of candidates.
Speaking to the members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Graduates’ Association, Minister of Telecommunication and information technology Ranjith Siyambalapitiya stated that a suggestion has been made to increase the number of graduates entering into politics.
It was also stated that the President will be notified of the suggestion in order to reinforce the educated community of the current system of governance.
