Tourists among 9 injured in luxury bus accident

At least nine individuals including three foreign nationals were wounded and hospitalized following an accident involving a luxury bus in the Agbopura area on the Trincomalee-Colombo main road.
Police said that the driver of the bus, which was heading towards Trincomalee, had somehow lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road and crash into a power pole ata round 4.30am this morning.
Nine persons including the driver of the bus and his assistant have been admitted to the Kantale Hospital while the assistant has been transferred to the Trincomalee Hospital for further treatment.
Agbopura Police is conducting an investigation.
