Deputy Minister Arundika Fernando removed

Arundika Fernando has been removed from his portfolio as the Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Affairs with immediate effect.

The President’s Media Division said the Deputy Minister was sacked in accordance with the power vested in the President by the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, under the clause 46 (3) (a). 

The decision will take effect from today (12).  

Fernando was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Tourism Promotion and Christian Affairs on September 9, 2015.
