
A ship that visited Mangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka recently had 8 kilograms of ganja in its container, according to a media report.
The ship had arrived in the city 10 days before and was reportedly stationed at New Mangalore Port, Daijiworld Media Network reported.
When the customs officials checked a container of the ship on Thursday, September 14, they found 8 kilograms of ganja in it.
The ship belongs to a company in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Indian customs officials said that the ganja was stored in many small packets. They said the investigation is in progress and they are yet to find out about who was carrying the same and the place where it was meant to be taken.
