Habarana Police officials have reported that a Chinese national was killed following a fatal accident while travelling on the Dambulla-Habarana main road earlier today (17).
Two Chinese nationals were knocked down by a private bus and were thrown into the path of a lorry travelling in the opposite direction on the Habarana-Dambulla road.
The Police reported that both victims sustained heavy injures and that one of the accident victims was pronounced dead upon his admittance to the Habarana Hospital.
The diseased person has been reported to be a 46-year old Chinese native who was on holiday in Sri Lanka.
Police officials have reported that both motorists driving the private bus and van were taken into custody and will be subjected to questioning.
