Wimal is yet to be rehabilitated – Isura Devapriya

October 25, 2017   04:07 pm

Chief Minister of the Western Province Isura Devapriya stated that MP Wimal Weerawansa has not been rehabilitated from his time in the JVP.

The Chief Minister made these remarks in response to the statement made by MP Wimal Weerawansa who stated that the parliamentary complex should be bombed should the draft Bill on the constitution be passed in parliament.

He further stated that MP Weerawansa’s statements do not come as a surprise as the people should not expect any less from an individual who was involved in the JVP insurgency of 1978-89.

The Western Province Chief Minister further questioned how terrorists who were captured during the war be rehabilitated when parliamentarians conduct themselves in such an aggressive manner.
