Gazette constituting number of members to local bodies signed by Faiszer Mustapha

The gazette notification constituting the number of members to all local bodies was signed by Minister of Provincial councils and Local Government Faiszer Mustapha a short while ago.
The zoning plan of Ambagamuwa and Nuwara Eliya Pradeshiya Sabhas will also be launched parallel to the gazette notification, the Minister said.
The Minister also said that the report will be released based on the geographical location and demographic composition of these areas.
Minister Mustapha further stated that some of the mutilated clauses in the gazette notification regarding the LG election are being changed upon instructions of the Attorney General.
The Local Government election would be held on January next year, as previously planned, he added
