
Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Mahinda Amaraweera stated that the government will not allow for a constitution that divides the country or creates a separate state to be drafted through the current constitutional reformation process.
He further stated that a new constitution should be drafted to ensure equal rights for all citizens of Sri Lanka and to bolster racial and religious harmony.
Minister Amaraweera expressed these sentiments during his parliamentary address yesterday (8).
