ITAK representatives convene with Sampanthan

A private meeting between the leader of the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) Mavai Senathirajah and R.Sampanthan was held earlier today (12), at a hotel in Vavuniya. 

 

Reports confirm that the meeting was called to discuss the issues surrounding the ITAK supporting the TNA for the upcoming local government elections. 

 

Leader of the ITAK Mavai Senadhirajah stated that the discussions were primarily held to determine the manner in which the ITAK will nominate representatives for the Northern and Eastern provinces for the upcoming polls.
 
It has been reported that several ITAK parliamentarians were also present at the meeting.
