Seven injured in attacks by sword-wielding gang in Jaffna

Seven persons have been injured and hospitalized following separate attacks carried out by a gang of individuals wearing face masks and wielding swords and clubs in the Kopai and Manipay police areas in Jaffna.
The police spokesman said that the attacks were carried out last night by a gang comprising around 10 individuals.
One person was injured in an attack carried out in Kopai at around 7.00pm last night while another two were injured in a similar attack at a hotel near the bud depot in Kondavil at around 8.30pm.
All three injured persons have been admitted to the Jaffna Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile four persons were injured in the attack carried out at around 7.25pm at Manipay.
