Illegal cigarette stock seized

Two suspects were arrested with a stock of illegal cigarettes worth Rs.300, 000 at third Cross Street, Pettah today (18).
The arrest was made following a tip-off received by Pettah Police station,Police Media spokesman said.
The 35-year-old and 62-year old suspects are residents of Akuressa and Maradana,police said.
They will be produced before Maligakanda Magistrate today(18).
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Pettah Police.
