School term holidays announced

All government and government approved schools (Sinhala and Tamil medium) will close for the first term vacation on April 6 (Friday) and reopen for the second term on April 23 (Monday), the Ministry of Education said.  

 

The first term of Muslim schools will end on April 11 (Wednesday) and reopen for the second term on April 18 (Wednesday), the announcement said. 

 

Accordingly the fist term school holidays will be limited to just 16 days this year.
