
Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne says that the health service in Sri Lanka is compared with the health service in the United States of America.
According to a UNICEF report, there is the situation in Sri Lanka is similar to the maternal and child mortality rates of the US, said Senaratne attending an event.
In some stated in US, the maternal and child mortality is below than in Sri Lanka, he points out.
Sri Lanka is the best example that a country’s economy does not influence its health sector, said the Minister.
According to the WHO report, the current health service in Sri Lanka has been described as efficient and that it has a friendly health policy for people with low income, the Minister added.
