Two policemen killed in fatal crash at Galgamuwa

Two police officers have been killed in a collision involving a motorcycle and a cab on Anuradhapura-Padeniya road near the Galgamuwa town last night (17).

The critically injured police officers, who were traveling by motorcycle, succumbed to injuries on admittance to Galgamuwa hospital.

The deceased have been identified as two police constables, aged 28 and 32 years, attached to Thambuththegama and Anuradhapura police stations.

The driver of the cab has been arrested in connection with the accident.

Galgamuwa Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
