Director Operations of Anti Corruption Force Nalaka Kumara has been requested to appear before the Government Analyst’s Department on Wednesday (26).
Namal Kumara recently revealed information of TID DIG Nalaka de Silva allegedly conspiring to assassinate the President and former Defense Secretary.
Accordingly, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has commenced investigations into the incident and recorded statements from several persons.
The recorded phone call between Nalaka Kumara and the DIG, which has gained a lot of attention in the investigation, has already been handed over to the Government Analyst’s Department.
Namal Kumara has been asked to appear before the Government Analyst’s Department to conduct inquiries into his voice recorded in the phone call.
The CID will be receiving reports of investigations on the recording and further investigations will be conducted subsequently.
