Foreign currency to be accepted by Airport and Aviation Services Ltd.

The Cabinet of Minister have approved a proposal to revise the exchange control restrictions to make payments to the Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited in foreign currency instead of Sri Lankan Rupees.

 

“Considering the benefits which could be acquired by using foreign currency to charge for the services Provided by the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd, the cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva to revise the existing Exchange Control Restrictions,” the cabinet spokesman said today.
