
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is currently engaged in a three-day official visit to Norway, joined an observational visit at a Norwegian warehouse complex operated by robot technology.
Accordingly, PM Ranil Wicremesinghe has visited the XXL warehouse complex in Oslo, the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
It was reported that the robot technology used at this warehouse complex has made storing and packaging procedures of various products more efficient and expeditious.
Initial steps have been taken for implementing warehouses of this sort for the fisheries industry in Sri Lanka, and the establishment of one of such warehouse will commence this December in a joint effort with Norwegian companies, said Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economic Affairs Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa, who has joined the PM for the three-day Norwegian visit.
