According to the fuel price formula, fuel from the Trincomalee harbor should be less expensive than the fuel from the Colombo Port, says former Minister of Petroleum Resources Development Chandima Weerakkody.
He mentioned this today (21), when media questioned him on the fuel pricing formula introduced by the government.
He says that this price formula is not acceptable at all and that the only reason the government increased the fuel prices on the 10th of every month was to cover the expenses of the government.
The public was told of a fuel price formula because the government didn’t have anything else to say and it is now proven, Weerakkody added.
Minister Mangala Samaraweera has ridiculed and insulted the public through this fake fuel price formula, he further said.
