Fifty-eight arrested at Facebook party in Viharagala

Persons attending a party organized through Facebook in a rented house in Viharagala, Haputale have been arrested by the police, stated Police Media Spokesperson.

 

Fifty-eight persons including a woman have been arrested in this manner.

 

Police have found drug tablets, heroin, cannabis, ‘Stamps’, arrack and several other drugs being used at the said party.

 

The arrestees are residents of Badulla, Ratnapura, Passara and Negombo areas, stated the Police.

 

Haputale Police is conducting further investigations on the matter.
