
Leader of Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC) and Nuwara Eliya District Parliamentarian Arumugan Thondaman says that the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has promised the increment of daily basic wage of the estate workers to Rs 1000.
The CWC will altogether support the implementation of this decision taken by PM Mahinda Rajapaksa without delay.
CWC Leader Arumugan Thondaman stated this addressing the media following an event held in Hatton today (28).
The event was held to welcome the MP Thondaman as he decided to render the support of CWC to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He further stated that if he were to receive an invitation to assume a ministerial post of the incumbent government, he would consent to it.
