Will prove UNP still got parliamentary majority – Ruwan Wijewardene

The President has appointed the new Prime Minister in contradiction to the Constitution and violating the democracy, says the UNP Parliamentarian Ruwan Wijewardene.

This appointment of a new Prime Minister is an attack on the democracy of the country, he further stated.

If the general public of the country accept this appointment, anyone can be appointed in this manner in the future as well, the stated.

MP Wijewardene emphasized that the UNP will prove that they still possess the majority of the parliament when the parliament is convened again.
