
The case filed against former Minister, MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage, for allegedly using Rs 27 million of funds acquired illegally to purchase a house, was postponed to November 07 by the Colombo High Court.
The case was scheduled to be taken up before the Colombo High Court Judge Sampath Abeykoon today (29); however, it was postponed by the Colombo HC Judge A.A.R. Heiyanthuduwa, due to the absence of the HC Judge as he is on leave today.
The Attorney General has filed the case against MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for the alleged offence of purchasing a house worth Rs. 27 million at Kynsey Road, Colombo 7, by using illegally acquired money during the administration of the previous government.
