Didn’t discuss Opposition Leader post with Mahinda – Sampanthan

Issuing a statement, Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan states that he met with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at his residence in Wijerama Mawatha on the request of Rajapaksa.
According to the statement, the Opposition Leader didn’t meet with the new Prime Minster in any other capacity.
No matter was discussed at the meeting pertaining to the post of Opposition Leader and any statement to that effect are deliberately false, further read the statement.
