‘I would rather be a butterfly than a leech’ - Mangala

UNP MP Mangala Samaraweera says that he would rather be a ‘butterfly’ than a ‘leech’.

“I would rather be a butterfly than a leech Mr. President,” Samaraweera tweeted, in response to certain comments made by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (5).

Addressing the ‘Rata Rakina Jana Mahimaya’ UPFA protest rally at the Parliament Junction last evening, Sirisena had said: “the decisions of the previous government were not taken by the President, Cabinet of Ministers or the Senior Ministers, but by a swarm of butterflies headed by the former Prime Minister.”
