Twenty-three SLFP members join SLPP

A group of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members, including Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, obtained the membership of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.

 

The function was held at the official residence of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (11).

 

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa received the by the Chairman of SLPP, Prof. G. L. Peiris.

 

Meanwhile, UPFA former MP Wimalaweera Dissanayake, too, stated yesterday (10) that he would be contesting under SLPP.

 

Accordingly, 23 SLFP former MPs received membership of the SLPP today.
