The two police officers, who were arrested over the abduction and murder of the two businessmen from Rathgama, have been further remanded until 13th of March.
The order was issued by the Galle Magistrate, when the suspects were produced before the court this morning (27).
On February 18, IP Kapila Nishantha of Southern Province Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with this incident. He was presented to the court the following day and ordered to be remanded until February 27.
The CID, on February 22, arrested a Sub-Inspector of the Southern SIU over the same incident.
Meanwhile, fifteen police officers including the OIC of the Southern Special Crimes Investigation Unit were transferred over the disappearance of the two businessmen.
