Man assaulted to death over land issue

A person has been assaulted to death in the Manathunkanda area in Balangoda, stated Ada Derana reporter.
According to the Police, a certain group of people had assaulted the victim over an issue regarding land.
The person who had sustained critical injuries in the assault had been admitted to the Balangoda Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased is a 67-year-old male residing in the Egodawalebada area in Manathunkanda.
Further investigations are currently ongoing on the matter.
