Special meeting of “Samagi Jana Balawegaya” today

A special meeting of the representatives of the UNP-led new alliance – “Samagi Jana Balawegaya” – is scheduled to be held today (03), says former UNP Parliamentarian Hesha Withanage.

All electoral organizers and local government representatives are expected to attend the meeting, he added.

In the meantime, former MP Sagala Ratnayaka has emphasized that the party’s top brass should arrive at a final solution soon on the symbol of the alliance. He made these remarks speaking to the media at Morawaka area.

The new alliance ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ was ceremoniously launched at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre yesterday (02), with the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with 12 political parties.
