The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau has decided to reintroduce the permit for transporting sand.
Chairman of the Bureau Anura Walpola stated that this decision will be in effect from the 16th of March.
Accordingly, law will be implemented against individuals who transport sand without a proper permit, he further said.
