Showers may occur at a few places in the deep sea areas to the south of the island. Mainly fair weather will prevail over the other sea areas around the island.
Winds will be North-easterly or Easterly and speed will be (20-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas extending from Mannar to Puttalam and the sea areas extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
