
The Railway Control Room says that all train services will be halted from 3.30 p.m. today and will resume at 6.00 a.m. on Monday (23).
Accordingly the train departing at 3.30 p.m. from Fort Railway Station to Mahawa will be the final train journey of the day, it said.
The decision has been taken owing to the curfew to be imposed island-wide from 6.00 p.m. today to 6.00 a.m. on Monday (23).
Meanwhile the Chairman of the Road Development Authority (RDA) Chaminda Athuluwage stated that vehicles will no be allowed entry to any of the expressways from 4.00 p.m. today (20).
