Coronavirus recoveries in Sri Lanka rise to 27

The Ministry of Health confirms that two more patients who have recovered from COVID-19 were discharged from hospital today.

This brings the total number of coronavirus recoveries in the country to 27.

In the meantime, three positive coronavirus cases were confirmed this evening, raising the tally to 162.

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 130 patients continue to be under medical care at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Base Hospital in Welikanda and Colombo East Base Hospital.

Sri Lanka has so far recorded 5 deaths due to the deadly virus.
