Trinity win 70th Bradby Shield

Trinity College Kandy beat Royal College Colombo 19-18 in the second-leg to win the 70th Bradby Shield encounter at Pallekele in Kandy.
Royal led the match 18-16 ten minutes before the end but conceded Trinity a penalty in the final minute of play handing Trinity victory and the trophy for the fourth year running.
Trinity’s overall points were made up of one goal and four penalties while Royal’s points came off a goal, a try and two penalties.
In the first-leg, Trinity College beat Royal College 28-16 at the Royal Sports Complex, Colombo.
Trinity scored 2 goals, 1 try, 2 penalties and a drop goal while Royal managed just 1 goal and 3 penalties.
