Nine more COVID-19-positive patients who had been undergoing treatment have made complete recoveries today (29), says the Ministry of Health.
This brings Sri Lanka’s recoveries count to 754.
The new recoveries are reported from Colombo East Base Hospital (06), Navy Hospital (02) and Homagama Base Hospital (01).
The coronavirus-positive cases confirmed in the country hiked to 1,530 on Thursday (28). The number of active coronavirus cases under medical care meanwhile stands at 766.
The Epidemiology Unit says that 464 of the patients reported in Sri Lanka are imported cases. A total of 717 navy personnel have also tested positive for the virus, however, 361 of them have returned to health.
Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on Monday (25) as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
