Fresh case of coronavirus pushes total to 1,858

A fresh case of COVID-19 infection has been reported in the country, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

 

With the addition of the new case, the total number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka has moved to 1,858 cases.

 

As per a tally of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 790 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals in the country.

 

Meanwhile, with 67 COVID-19 patients being discharged upon recovery, the count of recoveries recorded from Sri Lanka 1,057 mark today (09).

 

Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the novel coronavirus so far.
