Clarke wins toss, Australia to bat 1st against Sri Lanka

Australia skipper Michael Clarke won the toss and elected to bat first in the Cricket World Cup Pool A match against Sri Lanka on Sunday, with veteran allrounder Shane Watson making a surprising return to the starting XI at the expense of Mitch Marsh.
In the other change to the Australian lineup that beat Afghanistan by a record margin in Perth on Wednesday, Xavier Doherty was picked for the first time in the tournament in conditions expected to favour spin.
Sri Lanka, which has won three games since losing to New Zealand in the tournament opener, made three changes.
The winner at the Sydney Cricket Ground is likely to finish second in the group, and possibly avoid a semifinal detour to New Zealand.
