The Elections Commission has decided to appoint a Regional Health Officer for each polling station at the upcoming general election.

 

Chairman of the Commission Mahinda Deshapriya stated that all arrangements have been made to hold the General Election 2020 according to directives of the health sectors.

 

Meanwhile, mock elections are carried out by the Elections Commission to better facilitate the polling process restrained by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Accordingly, several mock polls were held today (14) as well in several areas.
