Spike in recovery count as 55 COVID-19 patients regain health

Fifty-five more patients who had been receiving medical treatment for the novel coronavirus have completely recovered from the infection.

 

With the newly recovered patients being discharged from their respective hospitals, the total count of COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka stands at 1,342, stated the Ministry of Health.

 

In the meantime, infections tally hit 1,889 on Sunday (14) following the detection of 05 fresh cases among Sri Lanka Navy personnel.

 

The new recoveries bring the active virus-positive cases under medical care down to 536.

 

Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19.
