Returnee from Maldives brings COVID-19 count to 1,951

Another person has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, marking the first new infection in 3 days.

The latest case is a recent arrival from the Maldives, stated the Ministry of Health.

Thereby the total of coronavirus cases in the country moved to 1,951 cases.

Currently, there are 414 active coronavirus cases being under medical care at selected hospitals.

Meanwhile, the count of COVID-19 recoveries in the country spiked to 1,526 cases with 28 more patients regaining health today (22).

Sri Lanka, so far, has witnessed 11 deaths from the coronavirus.
