Dhamma schools to reopen from July 12 under three stages

Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe has given permission to reopen all Dhamma schools from July 12 under three stages.

He has informed the Buddhist Affairs Commissioner-General Sunanda Kariyapperuma to proceed with Dhamma school activities while ensuring strict adherence to the circulars and guidelines issued by the Health Ministry to arrest the spread of COVID-19.

Accordingly, classes for Grade 11, 12, 13 and Dharmacharya exam will restart from July 12, the Department of Buddhist Affairs has announced.

From Grade 03 – Grade 10, Dhamma school classes will recommence from July 26.

For students in Grade 01 and 02, Dhamma school classes will resume on the first Sunday that falls after schools restart academic activities for these two grades.
