Covid-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka climb to 1,562

Fourteen more patients who had previously tested positive for Coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after they had completed recovery.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka to 1,562.

The latest recoveries are reported from the Infectious Disease Hospital (03), Welikanda Base Hospital (02), Kattankudy Base Hospital (02), Minuwangoda Base Hospital (02) and Hambantota District General Hospital (05).

According to the Epidemiology Unit’s tally, 418 patients are currently receiving treatment at 11 hospitals across the country.

Sri Lanka has confirmed a total of 1,991 positive cases of COVID-19 to date and 11 of them have succumbed to the disease.
