171 Sri Lankans repatriated from Lebanon

A special SriLankan Airlines flight carrying 171 Sri Lankan nationals who were stranded in Lebanon due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reached the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake this morning (26).

The passengers, mostly migrant workers and families, were repatriated onboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-1506 arriving from Beirut International Airport which had reached the BIA at around 5.41 a.m. today.

The passengers and crew members of the flight were subjected to PCR tests within the airport premises upon arrival, Ada Derana reporter said.
